esXRef (xref)

In which input files is this field used?
In DBS files (and in story-items in DBI files)
What should the field look like?
In the usual files: [xref:xx(reason),xx(reason)]
In FSB files: If line 5 (or subsequent) starts with a '#': [xref:xx(reason),xx(reason)]
In the files y.dbs and z.dbs: [xref:xx(reason),xx(reason)]
In the files y.dbs and z.dbs when the storycode starts with YM 0, YM 1, ZM 0, ZM 1, YX 0, YX 1, ZX 0, ZX 1, or ZT: [xref:xx(reason),xx(reason)]
What does the field contain?
A reference (story code or movie code) to another story or movie. Used for instance if the story is a remake of another story, or a cover illustrating the story, or an adaptation of a movie.

The reason for cross-referencing is added behind (). Examples:

      [xref:W WDC 123-04(remake)]
      [xref:W WDC 567-89(cover)]
      [xref:W WDC 123-04(remake),W WDC 567-89(cover)]
      [xref:QM 001(adaptation)]
Which checks are done?
A valid storycode should be 6 characters or more.
Only printable ASCII characters are allowed.
If a storycode is an old code (in oldcode.dbx), this is logged and the code is replaced with the new code.
If a storycode starts with a 'Q', it should be a single Q, or in the form QMsomething (a movie item) or Qxx/something where xx is a country.
If a storycode is a subcode starting with 'I' or 'W', the code is replaced with the corresponding supercode.
(This is a new feature from 30 Jan 2007.)
Which CSV field(s) use this field?
The field frommovietostory in table inducks_moviereference
How is the data used in the rest of INDUCKS?
If the field has no value, but an entry has a value, a log message ("...not in story file") is given. (Unless the story has a superref.)

If the field has a value, and an entry has no value, the field is copied to the entry.

If the field's contents differ from an entry (not looking at the order of the subfields), a log message is given.
