Name (or abbreviation) of the writer of a story, or in case of a cover: the person who gave the idea.

More than one person can be mentioned.

A writer can be doing the script of a story only, while someone else did the plot. In this case, the person who did the plot is mentioned in the plot field.

If empty: writer unknown.
If uncertain, a '?' can follow the name.
