| In which input files is this field used? |
|
In entries of DBI files |
| What should the field look like? |
In the usual files (including w.dbi): fixed position, or [storycode:xxx]
|
| What does the field contain? |
Refers to the storycode of a story item.
If the storycode is unknown, this field can contain incomplete information, or it can even be entirely empty.
|
| Which checks are done? |
A valid storycode should be 6 characters or more.
Only printable ASCII characters are allowed.
If a storycode is an old code (in oldcode.dbx), this is logged and the code is replaced with the new code.
If a storycode starts with a 'Q', it should be a single Q, or in the form QMsomething (a movie item) or
Qxx/something where xx is a country.
If a storycode seems to indicate a newspaper strip, the date in the storycode is checked: Z-codes should have a Sunday, while Y-codes should not have a Sunday in their code.
If a storycode is a subcode starting with 'I' or 'W', the code is replaced with the corresponding supercode.
(This is a new feature from 30 Jan 2007.)
